Your available schedule(s) can be viewed online 24/7 by your customers. The online calendar will not show time slots as available when another customer has submitted an appointment request for that time, but you have not yet confirmed it. Requests will remain on the web site until you open the calendar on your computer so the software can download them for processing. When the appointment calendar is open, the software will automatically check the web site ever twenty minutes to download appointment requests and upload any changes.

Unique Approach

Appointment Place has taken a different approach to online appointment scheduling by not maintaining a large database of hundreds or thousands of appointment and client records from hundreds or thousands of different businesses on the web site. The software on your computer will automatically communicate with your account on Appointment Place to upload the calendar setup information, available schedules, and email messages. You never have need to access the web site. You just conduct your business using the software on your computer and let program take care of the rest.

This accomplishes the following:

  • It eliminates the need for IT personnel to maintain the database.
  • It simplifies the hardware requirements.
  • Your client's personal information is not *stored on the web site, so there is little chance of it being compromised.
  • This allows us to operate with much lower overhead so we make a practical online appointment scheduling service available to even small businesses for only $75.00 per year.

* Appointment request information is only stored on the web site until you download it, after which it is deleted. The appointment reminder file for advanced and one day reminders, as well as the email message file contains limited information.

Program Setup
  • Allow same day appointment requests or not.
  • How far in the future available schedules are displayed.
  • Minimum buffer for appointment requests (lead time).
  • Number of days for advanced email reminder (in addition to one day reminder).
  • Pass code if you want to limit who can request appointments.

Personnel Setup

Service Setup
  • Enter services, time and fee.
Appointment Calendar
  • The appointment calendar is maintained on YOUR computer, NOT on the Internet.
  • Your computer communicates with your account on AppointmentPlace.com to upload your setup, personnel, resources, and available schedules so that your clients can request an appointment on-line.
  • Your computer communicates with the web site throughout the day to download appointment requests and upload email messages and new schedules as appointments are added, changed, or deleted.
  • The appointment calendar notifies you when appointments requests have been downloaded and you process the requests while you are using the appointment calendar.
  • As you process the requests, you can Accept, Decline with Email Message, Decline without Email Message or Skip for Now.
  • You can alter the day and time of the appointment request if needed.
  • Customer receives email for request acknowledgement, confirmation, cancellation, rescheduling, decline, as well as advanced appointment reminder, and one day reminder.
